There are also two items of business that will be voted upon. The Builders Exchange board of directors is proposing updates and changes to the organization’s constitution and by-laws. At this year’s Annual Meeting, the BX membership will vote on these proposed changes. The primary changes include:

• Updating the By-Laws and Constitution, to reflect today’s practices, into the appropriate document
• Changing Board Member terms to three years, and incorporating a Regular Term and an Officer Term
• Propose the recommended number of Board Members to range from 10 to 14, with the ideal number as 12
• Stating the BX’s position of neutrality regarding legislative and legal issues

Also, five nominees interested in the open positions on the BX Board of Directors will be voted on. These candidates were interviewed and are endorsed by the BX Board Nominating Committee. The term for each candidate will be for two years, from Jan. 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2026. The nominees represent a wealth of service to the Builders Exchange, the industry and the community.
